Friendship Quilt

We love making "Friendship Quilts" and this is an example of Diane B.'s quilt called The Watermelon Quilt. At our monthly meetings, each of us takes a turn coming up with one quilt square pattern and a color palette of her choice and brings copies of her pattern with color swatches attached. Then each Material Girl makes 1-2 squares and brings the completed squares to the next meeting. The lucky recipient then sews all the squares together and has a fun Friendship Quilt made up of squares from all her Material Girl friends.

Breast Cancer Auction quilt

We all made this quilt to be auctioned at the Komen Breast Cancer auction held in Boise, Idaho in May 2007. Rachel designed it for us. Next month we will begin making the quilt for this year's auction.

Here is Maureen showing us her beautiful quilt. We decided to do one block a month and now several of us have this beautiful quilt in our homes. 2004

Couch Quilt

This is called a Couch quilt. Kathi made it in a class she took with Jodie at Country Quilter in Boise. You can make it in one day and it's fun to use up large pieces of fabric from your stash.

A block of the month Kathi made. Maureen made this quilt first and we all loved it so much that quite a few of us also decided to make it. 2005
