Back to JK Quilts for another fun, informative Materials Girls Idaho monthly meeting! This time we were privileged to hear from Jenn, who is Liz's twin sister and co-owner of JK Quilts. Jenn just returned from the Houston Quilt Market and she shared with us some of the upcoming fabric lines, latest trends and fun stories.

October 2024
Here are some of the things Jenn had ready to show us in her presentation. In her "spare" time she loves to make pottery, so she shared some of her unique pieces with us.
These two (above and below) quilts made by Deb were part of a door prize guessing game. We had to try and guess how many individual pieces were in each quilt top.
Jenn started the meeting with her presentation showing fun quilts and info about Quilt Market in Houston.
This is a quilt Jenn made and a close up of one way she likes to enhance the binding using rickrack.
SHOW AND TELL
Jeannie showed the quilt she finished using one of Maurene's quilt tops she had started. Sweet memory of Maurene for all of us.
Thanks Deb Ragsdale for the cinnamon rolls, cider, treats and guessing games.
Our next meeting will be held in December.

Back together for our first meeting after the summer break! We met at JK Quilt store in their upstairs classroom area. Liz Roundy, the owner, shared her quilting story and gave a trunk show with several of her quilts. She's so talented. It was very motivating to see her creations. Thank you so much Liz!!
Here are our pics from the show and tell portion of our meeting.
Diane shared a baby quilt and burp rag she'd made.
