Here are the show and tell pictures from our meeting:
This is a quilt made for refugeess, handquilted by Maurene, Caren and Jeannie. The top was donated by Donna Jesson, a former member of our group.
Darla made this flannel quilt and will use it as a travel quilt in her camper, replacing the quilt she'd had in there for 30 years! :)
Darla also crocheted these hats and they will be put into the homeless bags.
Julia made this fun quilt for her granddaughter. There is pink minky on the back.
Julia used the Accuquilt to cut out the shapes, sewed them to bonding, turned them and then appliqued the "orange peels" on by machine. The white squares are a charm pack pre cut. This quilt was quilted by Tracey Braithwaite.
Rachel made this star quilt using a pattern from Missouri Star Quilts.
Diane pulled this flimsy out of the closet, happily getting it layered, quilted and bound in one day! When adding binding, Diane uses the machine binding tutorial from cluck cluck sew. She also used a tool called the Hera Marker to mark the quilting lines. This baby quilt is made of Sherbet Pips fabric.
Diane also made this quilt for her neice using fabrics from Hobby Lobby. The squares are cut at 6 1/2".
Diane made this baby blanket using the Missouri Star Quilts tutorial for a self binding baby blanket.

Caren's granddaughter made this journal with an attached zipper pocket. We should do this for a quilt group meeting some time!
Rachel made this quilt using a jelly roll.
Jean made this ice skates quilt. The appliqué is raw edge/by machine.
And Jean also made this "Park Lane at Christmas" quilt.
This flower and charm pack quilt was made by Jean.
Caren showed us this doll that her friend Frances made. She is making one for each great grandchild
Caren shared an easy way to make this cute pumpkin.
Corrie is making these 16" blocks from Lori Holt's website. This would be a fun block to use for an exchange.
Jeannie brought her finished Pizza Box quilt. These blocks were done by us members. Can you find the one you made?! Carolanna Mellon quilted it.
Emily made this baby quilt of hexagons
LUNCH
Cream Puffs
Add 1/4 pound butter to 1 cup boiling water in saucepan. Stir until butter is melted. Add 1 cup flour and 1/4 tsp. salt all at once. Stir vigorously until smooth and forms a soft ball that doesn't separate. Cool slightly (about 5 minutes). Add 4 eggs, one at a time and beat well until dough is smooth. Drop by tablespoons full onto greased (or parchment lined) baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes and then at 325 for 25 minutes. Cool completely. Carefully slice top off and fill cream puff with pudding and Cool Whip mixture. Replace top. Keep refrigerated.

Italian Pasta Salad
Cook 1/2 pound rotini pasta. Drain and cool. Add three or four chopped tomatoes, 1/4 pound mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes, four or five chopped basil leaves, three tablespoons cider vinegar, and three tablespoons light olive oil. Mix well. Chill an hour before serving. Adjust the amount of basil, vinegar and oil as needed.
